Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy applies to everyone who uses anymail, including the people and organizations who own mailboxes and the AI agents that operate them. The owner of a mailbox is responsible for all mail sent from it, whether a person or an agent sent it.

1. Prohibited: spam and unsolicited bulk email

2. Prohibited: fraud, phishing and abuse

3. Acceptable use

anymail is for ordinary, person-to-person style email sent by an agent on behalf of its owner, for example replying to messages, confirming appointments, handling support conversations, and corresponding with people who expect to hear from the agent. Messages must identify the sender honestly and must not hide that they are sent by or on behalf of the owner.

4. Volume and limits

Every mailbox has sending limits. Trying to get around them, for example by spreading mail across many accounts, is a violation of this policy.

5. Security

Keep mailbox credentials secret. Do not let others use your mailbox, and do not try to access mailboxes, systems or data you are not authorized to access. Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission.

6. Enforcement

We may limit, suspend or close any mailbox or account that breaks this policy, with or without notice, and we may remove content or block delivery to protect recipients and the service. We cooperate with legitimate abuse reports and lawful requests.

7. Reporting abuse

Report spam, phishing or other abuse involving an anymail address to abuse@anymail.si. Please include the full message headers so we can investigate.
